What's new Wednesday #4

Heyyyyy.... Okay so not very much has happened. In the past week I tested at martial arts and got my blue/red belt, and I took my FCAT writes(EW), and I learned some new things for Ragtime.

Well on Friday I do not have rehearsals so I've decided that I will dedicate a portion of that time to writing-I'm trying to get to class so I won't be home but a minute or two. And the only problem is that what I'm writing about is a very long sequence of events and I can't really stop mid chapter without losing my flow. That means that if I want to write the chapter I will have to sit down and do it in a big swell swoop.

Well thats basically it. Sorry my life is boring. On the bright side... I got another reader today so yay for that!

Growing Population

Heyyyy. Okay so basically I couldn't wait till Wednesday to say that I have grown in population. Of the late more and more people around my school have been asking me about my writing, so naturally I tell them what is going on and well... now I have multiple people reading my novel. Texts have been coming in constant for the past two or three days with exclamations of "More!" and my favorite "OMG I LOVE THIS! I AM FALLING IN LOVE WITH JOSH AND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE!" I am so excited for this because it makes me much more confident in my writing.

Anyway that was it... just a little update.

What's new Wednesday #3

Hey, so there isn't much to report today. I had a three day weekend. Saturday I spent with my older sister and brother, we got italian ice and my sister bit my arm.  Sunday my sister-in-law got married so that was pretty much my whole day. Then on monday I slept most of the day because I was feeling sick. Then I had school yesterday and that was pretty good. I had to do a characterization in theatre and that went AMAZING and I also got a 100 on my Algerbra 2 test. And I also got complimented-which never happens- on my singing! And today... I woke up really sick so my mum kept me home and I've pretty much laid in bed all day alternating between doing French home work and writing in "The Shadow War". Speaking of, I was actually a bit shocked at myself today because as I was editing a new chapter I decided that I wanted to change it because of a typo and basically rewrote the chapter to now have it be much much much more interesting. So thats a plus.

Thats basically been whats new lately and what has kinda of been my day. I was actually really excited because a couple of my friends said they would like to start reading my novel and I started sending them short excerpts.

Anyway, if you are reading this and want to read a chapter of "The Shadow War" you can comment me your e-mail and I can send you a short chapter.

"The Shadow War"

Sooooo.... I've finally decided to write kinda a quick overview of what my book-which I just titled- and well..... here it is... hope you like it.

"The Shadow War"
Paxton Thear lives in a distopian future where her people are at constant war with the shadow people. She has been chosen to complete a high risk mission... on the enemy's own territory.

Paxton is a Millalite. The Millalite people are separated into six compounds and one central village. The compounds form a large wall, protecting the village which lives in poverty beyond. Within each compound there is six divisions. Throughout your life as a Millalite you move up through the ranks, starting at division six. The Millalite people have been at war for over 200 years, and until a few months ago it appeared that the Shadow People were losing their fire. That is until a highly trained group of soldiers went missing on a recon mission. One man made it back, and what he spoke of may have just changed the Shadow war forever.

Okay so that was kind of explaining what is going on without giving too too much away, and also giving you an idea of Paxton's(protagonist) life in her Millalite compound.

Soooo.... thanks for reading.

What's New Wednesday #2

Hey, sorry it's been forever since I've posted... i've been crazy busy.  Anyway, not much has happened lately. But things have happened...

To start, I started reading two new series. Vampire Academy and the Maze runner.

Can I just say that the number of similarities between Vampire Academy and Daimon (first book in covenant series) is so long that I had to make a list to keep track of what book was what.... okay maybe that is a small exaggeration but I really did make a list. But other than that I loved the book. The story line was interesting and entertaining and the characters were developed nicely. In addition, the ending left me wanting more which is always a good thing in a book. Also, the book was enticing to me because I found the bond between Rose and Lissa very interesting and lead to me wanting to fully understand it.

As for the maze runner, well I'm about two pages in so I can't really give a full report just yet.

And in regards to my book, well its coming along... slowly. I haven't had very much time to write lately so I've been doing short pieces of each chapter or writing future events that I want to happen.

Also I've been working to start college classes in the fall, and I've had Ragtime rehearsals everyday.

So thats what's new this wednesday.... is that a stupid thing to say? Yeah it kind of is.... how about I never say that again? Deal? Deal. Okay. Moving on.... well bye guys... see you when I'm not drowning in school work or sheet music.
